Graham’s superb drawings of his Canopy People. I’ve to build a story around these. He had them as: Top Dwellers and Bottom Dwellers. Top guys are small gentle folk living in the tree canopy.

Bottom Guys: One eyed, mean bunch raiding the food of the top outfits.

I thought of making these the characters for the other project featured on the site; Kites, but they don’t look capable of setting out on a journey across space from the dark side of moon destination, Earth. I’ll think about and see if it’ll work.

Industrious Vegimates hard at work

These 2″ high innocents tend the biggest Veggi garden in Australia. Here, they’ve perfected a veggi mixture that cures all known ills. Helping them and chief  ‘taster’ is a little lady who lives smack in the center of their garden. Early one morning as they stroll to the machine, they all tumble over and over into a deep wide hole. With the help of the large friendly spiders they get out and set a trap for whoever is responsible for galloping all over their vegetables.

At dawn the next day, there is the beast responsible. But he looks such a twit, maybe they get him to help with the project? He agrees if they feed and water him.

But there are others who know of all the work the Veggi-Mates are doing, and they mean to steal the secret ingredients to make and sell the tasty snacks.

Spud’s a prolific inventor and for this adventure he needs a plane and a submersible. He’s come up with the perfect solution-combine the two. A plane that’ll take-of and land on water with a central float that detaches, doubling as a sub.

The power unit: modified turbo-charged lawn mower engine.

The Flying Flea’s his Plane-cum-Submarine, and it works. Spud landed on the Indian Ocean off Unicorn Island (Rottnest to us) He ‘Dived’ submarine terminology, he ‘Dived’ Submariners terms, it’s beyond expectations: quite, steers superb and most important doesn’t leak even at 100m. Time  for the Ningallo Reef and that Dutch East India man The ‘DEL GELDERMASLEM.’ And you know what!! I think he’ll find it. He’s that sorta Rat. ‘Good on ya Spud.’
