Where the Devil says Goodnight

Young newlywed Beata Karp, after being incarcerated in a prison camp in Siberia during WWII, takes a perilous journey through Siberia in the hope of reuniting with her family and freeing them from their work camp. On a Russian-occupied Bialystok street in early 1940, educated, down-to-earth, Lithuanian aristocrat Beata is arrested with her Polish husband Kaz. They’re taken on a three-day long journey with little food and water only to find themselves imprisoned in infamous Baranovichi where a brutal Russian interrogator knows she speaks five languages, which can only mean one thing: she must be a spy. Kaz is tortured to death and four months later Beata is sentenced to ten years in a Siberian Gulag near the Arctic Circle. The 5,000 innocent ladies name it,...

Production Companies Comments

Just some comments from various companies I submitted synopses to for some 40 stories/ideas I’d developed up to 1998. It totalled 27,500 words a daunting task you’ll agree. I’ve added at least another 20 since most I’ve merely written about 20 pages to get the ‘feel’ of the idea. My problem is not knowing which to write first, as I get nudged ‘off course’ as another concept keeps me awake at night. I did not progress, as we moved to Australia, and I either lost contact or the companies had moved, so I just kept writing. Producer Pearl Catlin asked if I’d write a screenplay on ‘spec’. That story is about SAS Commanding Officer; Brig. James Michael Calvert DSO 2 bars. Mad Mike a Chindit. Sir Kenneth Branagh. Mad Mike, a Chindit. Dear Ron Shears, Thank-you for...

So why not Publishers and Film Production Companies Prod., (Cos.,).,?  this after about 20-years, a sad mistake. Why you ask? Simple, for fear of knockbacks, so I just kept writing-much on a Typewriter. Bear in mind, Computers were not that good then,...

The Skunk’s Room fact

This and 20 more short stories are in my book, ‘Through the Keyhole’ on Amazon about January 2018. That said, as many of these are excellent concepts for movies, I fear some would be pinched and developed without my permission, therefore I may not upload. All great reads, some are true, some exciting scenes adapted from my screenplays that, I believe make good reading. For more, Through the Keyhole on Amazon late 2017 and not expensive. The Following is from my screenplay Cast of Eagles. Air Commodore Al Deere is not mentioned in this. Skinner existed, other characters are fictitious. That said, I had two versions ref., Sq/Ldr., Skinner: first, his dialogue as written. Another, he didn’t say this. I left it my screenplay for...
